Students acquainted about innovative projects under this DBT Star College Scheme program

Jalandhar, December 9, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised Student- Student Mentoring Workshop-“ANUBHOOTI-2021” for all science students under DBT Star College scheme. The workshop was organised by PG Department of Chemistry & Physics. More than 230 students participated in this workshop with full zeal and enthusiasm. Under this program, undergraduate science students were given a platform to present their concept based innovative experiments and projects that they have designed under DBT star college scheme. The workshop is an annual feature of KMV that aims to motivate students to develop critical and analytical thinking. During the workshop, students demonstrated the working of different instruments like rota evaporator, conductivity meter, UV-Vis spectrometer and many more to junior students and explained them about its working and applications. Students also showcased their projects like air cooler, laser show, matchbox microphone, rocket water bottle and many more. Students have developed as well as showcased touch less hand sanitising machine which will be installed in the entrance of their class rooms. Through this workshop creative talent of the students was explored and they were able to think outside of the box & in turn developed a scientific spirit and curiosity among students which in turn drove them to think and creatively find solutions to the challenges. Principal Dr. (Prof.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that science is the application of existing scientific knowledge to practical world, like technology or inventions. She congratulated the students for taking such innovative initiatives.
