Stonehill Technofest 2026: A Celebration of Coding, Making, and Racing
Stonehill Technofest, the highly anticipated two-day inter-school competition celebrating innovation and creativity, drew over 400 students from more than 13 schools across India, including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Kochi and Warangal. Participants showcased their talents across Hackathon, Makeathon, and Formula 1 RC car racing events, making the competition a vibrant hub of youthful energy and technological brilliance.
Mumbai, February 16, 2026: Stonehill Technofest, the highly anticipated two-day inter-school competition celebrating innovation and creativity, drew over 400 students from more than 13 schools across India, including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Kochi and Warangal. Participants showcased their talents across Hackathon, Makeathon, and Formula 1 RC car racing events, making the competition a vibrant hub of youthful energy and technological brilliance.
Over 60 teams participated in the Makeathon, and 40 teams took part in the Hackathon while nearly 45 teams competed in Formula 1 RC Car racing competitions. Some of the schools that took part were Canadian International School, Bangalore International School, Jain International School, Legacy School Bangalore, Inventure Academy, Chaman Bharatiya School, The International School Bangalore, The Gaudium School, Hyderabad, and Manchester International School, Coimbatore, among many others, including some Government Schools from Karnataka.
Stonehill’s cutting-edge labs became a playground for innovation as student teams tackled a 24-hour Hackathon, crafting breakthrough tech solutions. The Makeathon pushed creativity further, with teams designing functional, out-of-the-box products that impressed with both utility and ingenuity.
In the Formula 1 RC car racing event, students engineered their own remote-controlled cars and competed over a thrilling 10-lap race on a specially designed track. The contest was filled with excitement and edge-of-the-seat moments, as participants and spectators alike cheered and celebrated every twist and turn.
“The Technofest is the perfect opportunity for students to engage in the kind of thinking and creativity that will serve them well in the future. It was great to see students working collaboratively to identify real-world problems, design potential solutions, create the products, and pitch them to experienced judges all in the space of 30 hours”, said Joe Lumsden, Head of School, Stonehill International School.
Stonehill Technofest has become a highly sought-after event year after year, inspiring young minds to tackle real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions within a high-pressure 24-hour window.
