Bangalore, July 6, 2026: Stonehill International School is proud to announce strong results in the 2026 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) examinations, with students delivering excellent academic performances and securing offers from leading universities across the globe.
Stonehill’s Class of 2026 achieved an impressive average score of 34.43 points, significantly above global averages.
Two students - Noel Pancras and Soeyeon Lee - scored 45 and 44 respectively, achieving exceptional distinctions and are among the top 1% of IB students worldwide. Other high achievers are Muskaan Gurbani and Sanghyun Ryu who scored 43 each.
Nine of the 54 students who registered for the Diploma Programme scored above 40 points (out of a maximum of 45), placing them among the highest-performing 8 % of IB learners globally.
10 students were awarded the prestigious IB Bilingual Diploma in Japanese, Swedish, Danish, Hebrew, and Korean. This recognition is granted to students who either pursue two Language A courses or complete a Diploma Programme subject in a language different from their primary Language A.
The school’s inaugural IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) cohort of 11 students has also made the school immensely proud by achieving a 100% pass rate. The IB Career-related Programme gives students the best of both worlds—an internationally recognised education and hands-on career experience. It empowers them to explore their interests while building skills for the future.
Students also attained top grades across 18 different subjects, illustrating the breadth of academic excellence at Stonehill and the school's commitment to helping every learner succeed, irrespective of their chosen subjects or future aspirations.
Our graduates from the Class of 2026 will now embark on higher education journeys across the globe. Collectively, they have received offers from universities in 23 countries, including 86 offers from institutions ranked among the world's top 50 universities. While many students will pursue traditional fields such as Economics, Engineering, Business Management, Biomedicine, Architecture, and Law, others will explore exciting pathways in areas including Filmmaking, Product Design and Manufacturing, Neuroscience, International Relations and Culinary Sciences.
"I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our faculty and administrative staff for their dedication and tireless support of this cohort. Delivering programmes as rigorous as the IB Diploma and Career-related Programmes requires expertise, commitment, flexibility, and an unwavering focus on student well-being. These outstanding outcomes, together with the breadth of university destinations and career pathways, reaffirm our belief that there are many routes to success at Stonehill," said Joe Lumsden, Head of School, Stonehill International School. "This year's results are especially meaningful as they mark the graduation of our first-ever IBCP cohort. Their exceptional achievements have set a strong foundation for the future of the programme. Our Career-related Programme graduates will continue their studies across eight countries, demonstrating the global opportunities that the programme provides."
These results reflect Stonehill's belief that academic excellence is achieved through an inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to realise their potential. By combining personalised support with a broad and challenging curriculum, the school continues to prepare students for success in higher education and beyond.
