State level function on martyrdom day of martyr Karnail Singh Issru on Aug 15

Issru (Khanna), August 14, 2019: On the martyrdom day of the first martyr of the Goa liberation movement, Karnail Singh Issru, the state level function is being organized by the Punjab government on August 15 in Dana Mandi of village Issru.

Cabinet Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, MLA Khanna Gurkeerat Singh Kotli and other prominent personalities will pay homage to the martyr.

Sandeep Singh Sub Divisional Magistrate Khanna held meeting with officials and reviewed the preparations on Tuesday. He informed that adequate arrangements were being made to make this event a success. Keeping in view the potential for large numbers of people to reach the event. Strict security and other arrangements will be made. He said that all the officers have been assigned their duties.

He appealed to people of all walks of life to attend this event in large numbers and to pay homage to the martyr. He said that heavy traffic would be shifted through other routes to maintain the traffic order. Officials from different departments were present on the occasion.
