Manish Tewari, MP and former Union Minister, chaired the State-Level Advisory and Monitoring Committee meeting to review various central government schemes in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, July 1, 2025: Manish Tewari, MP and former Union Minister, chaired the State-Level Advisory and Monitoring Committee meeting to review various central government schemes in Chandigarh.
He urged officials to formulate a comprehensive rehabilitation policy for families displaced in slum demolition drives from 2007 to 2025.
He also directed that the Dadu Majra dump be cleared within the deadlines given by Municipal Corporation Chandigarh to such institutions such as NGT, Parliament, and the High Court.
Tewari asked the Chandigarh Housing Board to consider an amnesty scheme - one time settlement scheme for those unable to clear their outstanding due to financial difficulties .
Among those Present were Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla, DC Nishant Yadav, MC Commissioner Amit Kumar, CHB CEO Ajay Chagti, ex-Mayor Kamlesh Kumari, former Bar Association President DPS Randhawa , Sh. B.M. Khanna, and other key dignitaries and officials.
