State Football: St. Stephen's FC Wins Under-15 Category Title

Chandigarh, December 28, 2025: St. Stephen's FC put on a stellar performance to win the Boys Under-15 category title in the Chandigarh Youth Football League for State Championship. In the final match played at the Sector-46 Sports Complex, St. Stephen's FC defeated Sandhu FC 2-0. St. John's FC secured third place, defeating Banyan Tree FC.
After the title match, Chandigarh Football Association (CFA) President KP Singh honored the winning and runner-up teams with trophies.
In the Under-15 Boys category final, St. Stephen's FC displayed aggressive play from the start. However, Sandhu FC players also put up a tough challenge. The first goal of the match was scored by Nitin in the 12th minute, giving his team the lead. Bir Pratap then scored in the 15th minute, making the score 2-0. St. Stephen's maintained their lead until the end of the first half.
In the second half, Sandhu FC tried to make a comeback and created several opportunities, but they were unsuccessful against St. Stephen's strong defense. No further goals were scored until the end of regulation time, and St. Stephen's FC secured the title with a 2-0 victory.

St. John's FC secures third place
In the match for third place, St. John's FC comprehensively defeated Banyan Tree FC 4-0. The first goal of the match was scored by Leng in the 11th minute, and he scored his second goal in the 16th minute, giving his team a strong lead. Himanshu then scored the third goal in the 37th minute. Finally, Leng scored his second goal in the 40th minute, sealing the 4-0 victory. 

The semi-finals were incredibly exciting.
In the semi-final matches, St. Stephen's FC defeated Banyan Tree FC 2-0. The match remained evenly contested for the first 20 minutes. Nitin scored the first goal in the 23rd minute, while Armaan scored the second goal in the 45th minute, securing their team's place in the final. In the other semi-final, Sandhu FC and St. John's FC faced off. In a closely fought match, Sandhu FC emerged victorious with a 1-0 win. The only goal of the match was scored by Yash in the 29th minute, which proved to be the decisive goal.
