State Football: Sandhu FC Wins Under-13 Category Title
Defeats Saffron Arrows 1-0 in the final, Divyug Singh scores the decisive goal

Chandigarh, December 29, 2025: Sandhu FC won the Boys Under-13 category title in the Chandigarh Youth Football League for State Championship. In the final match played at the Sector-46 Sports Complex, Sandhu FC defeated Saffron Arrows FC 1-0.
The only and decisive goal of the match was scored by Divyug Singh in the 23rd minute. This goal gave Sandhu FC the lead, which they maintained until the end to clinch the trophy. Divyug Singh was chosen as the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance. Chandigarh Football Association (CFA) President KP Singh honored the players of the winning and runner-up teams.
The final match saw a tough contest between the two teams. For the first 20 minutes, both sides created scoring opportunities, but without success. In the second half, Saffron Arrows made several attempts to equalize, but they could not score against Sandhu FC's strong defense.
Sandhu FC striker Divyug Sandhu was chosen as the Player of the Tournament for his excellent performance. He scored a total of 16 goals throughout the tournament, including three hat-tricks. The decisive goal in the final was also scored by him. Sandhu FC's Bidyaraj was awarded the Best Defender title, while Nikhil was named the Best Goalkeeper.
The third place in this category went to The Himalayan FC. They defeated Vivek FC 2-0. Tapish scored two goals in the 20th and 27th minutes to secure the team's victory. Vivek FC finished in fourth place.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Sandhu FC defeated The Himalayan FC 2-0. Santosh scored the first goal in the 18th minute, while Abhidash doubled the lead in the 22nd minute. In the second semi-final, Saffron Arrows defeated Vivek High School 2-0, with Harnoor scoring both goals in the 4th and 10th minutes.
