State Bank of Patiala Ludhiana Zone held its 1st Zonal Sports/Athletic Meet

Ludhiana, February 2, 2014: State Bank of Patiala, Ludhiana Zone held its 1st Zonal Sports/Athletic Meet today at Shastri Badminton Hall (Guru Nanak Stadium), Ludhiana.  Pukhraj Kanther, Chief General Manager (CB) was the Chief Guest on this occasion. More than 200 bank employees and their wards participated in various events including Badminton, Table Tennis, Carom, Races and Shotput.
While welcoming the participants and other distinguished guests, Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Deputy General Manager, Ludhiana Zone said that games play a vital role in everybody's life. Besides keeping us healthy, games freshens our mind and soul. Games as a career also can take a person to glorious heights in his life. He conveyed his best wishes to all the participants for their excellent performance in the events.    
While inaugurating the Sports Meet, Kanther said that State Bank of Patiala has a rich tradition of excellence in service of customers in all areas of Banking. With 96 years of experience in serving the community, State Bank of Patiala invokes a sense of pride and belonging in its customers. Our Bank has successfully faced several challenges in its long journey over several decades and has emerged as a key player in developing the social infrastructure in the country. Further, Sh. Kanther highlighted the various Deposit and other schemes launched by the Bank. He said that Ludhiana being the Hosiery and Industrial Hub has great potential  and we are hopeful that coming upto the expectations of the customers of this city, State Bank of Patiala will be able to grab lot of business from here.
On the occasion, P.D Biswas (AGM-I), Sohan Singh Hans (AGM-II), Rajesh Passey (AGM-III), Anima Goyal,  Chairperson, Zonal Sports Committee, Rakesh Khanna, Vice President, Zonal Welfare Committee were also present.
