Startup inaugural ceremony by Dr Amit Agrawal, Additional Principal Secretary to CM Haryana

Chandigarh, January 25, 2023: Alumni of UIET, Panjab University Arjun Mittal and Ishank Bansal under the mentorship of Prof. VP Verma , Registrar Panjab University, inaugurated their startup product - smart solar Hub. The ceremony was held today. The startup ‘Envinova Smartech Pvt ltd’ is working in the field of sustainable development with a motive to harness infinite solar potential in our day to day lives. Their product Smart Solar Hub, is region’s first of its kind and caters to providing modern public conveniences.
 
The Smart Solar hub is powered entirely by Solar Energy and has various features like mobile and laptop charging, wifi, cctv surveillance, led light illumination, digital screen, emergency sos - one touch call and many such features. The idea is to create a place for people to sit, relax, work and socialise.  
 
The event also had Simarpreet Singh, CEO, Hartek Solar, as guest of honour who delivered a keynote session on sustainability, startup culture and talked about the rapidly growing indian startup ecosystem.
 
Prof YP Yerma, Registrar PU also gave the insights on PU is supporting the startup ecosystem and how students should look towards being job givers and not job seekers.
 
UIET, PU has provided envinova with an incubation space at recently built TBIU centre at UIET and financial assistance from DIC. The startup is also part of Atal Incubation Program, and it has partnered with AIC JKLU.
 
The startup is also providing internships to students from various departments through their startup.
 
Finally, Dr Amit encouraged the founders that such conveniences are great of public usage especially in campuses. He said that government and private entities should look forward to having such smart solar hub in their campuses and business parks. He also urged the founders to keep working hard and serve as a shining light for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
