Start-up launched by Vice-Chancellor at PU

Chandigarh, March 14, 2022: Panjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar unveiled the website (s)of a startup named ENVINOVA today in his office. Bachelor of Engineering (Final year) Students from UIET, Panjab University Arjun Mittal and Ishank Bansal under the mentorship of Prof. Y.P. Verma have started the ENVINOVA. The startup is working in the field of sustainable living and their products are spread across wide variety including copper, coconut, bamboo and such other organic and natural materials and one can purchase these products from envinovastore.com. With the UN SDGs in mind, PU is constantly striving to promote the use of eco friendly products, and keeping this initiative in mind, ENVINOVA has begun its quest to create a community and provide solutions for the same. The website of the start-up is now open for buying eco-friendly and sustainable products.

Prof Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor appreciated Chandigarh's startup culture and the recent increase in the number of startups, and expressed his desire to help and encourage them in attaining their goals. He encouraged students and urged them to serve as a shining light for all aspiring students in the startup field.  UIET, PU has provided ENVINOVA with an incubation space at recently built Technology Business Incubation Unit (TBIU) centre at UIET. The startup is also part of Atal Incubation Program, and it has partnered with Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) JK Luxmi Path University (JKLU).

They are also on a mission to generate employment, as they are supporting the PMO’s vocal for local initiative by collaborating with local artisans across India. The start-up will also provide internships to the students from various departments as well.
