St Peter’s sweeps all 4 trophies in inter-school basketball tournament

Hyderabad, August 10, 2019: The hosts of the 3rd Edition of St Peter’s International Residential School Chairman Cup Inter-School Basketball Tournament sweeps all the four trophies. They emerged as winners in Under 13 Boys and Girls and Under 16 Boys and Girls. The Annual Tournament which saw 200 Basket Ballers from Nine different schools fought for the honours on yesterday and today. Totally 32 teams have participated in the two days spread Tourney Winners Under 13 Boys category are St. Peter’s International Residential School (21) and runners up Sadhu Vaswani International School (12). Under 13 Girls category St. Peters International Residential School won over HAL Girls with 21 to 13. Girls under 16 category St. Peter’s International Residential School (20) claimed the Winners up Trophy while DRS International School (8) are runners up. Under 16 Boys category Winners are St. Peter’s International Residential School (24) and the runners up DRS International School (12). Master Akash of Oak Valley under 13 boys: Jahnavi of HAL School under 13 Girls category; Vardha of DRS International School under 16 Girls category and Raksaka of DRS International School under 16 boys category have been adjudged as the Most Promising Players of the year while Siddharth of Sadhu Vaswani International School, under 13 boys; Divya Neha of Oak Valley School under 13 girls category; Srihitha of St. Peter’s International School under 16 Girl category and Vishnu of St. Peter’s International School are awarded with the Most Valuable Player of the year titles. T.Bala Reddy, Chairman of St Peter’s International Residential School awarded the trophies, medals and the cash prize to the winning and runners up teams. The winning teams have been honoured each with the Winners Cup and a cheque for Rs.8,000/- and runners up teams each with a Runners Cup and a cheque for Rs.5,000/- The individual players, the Most Valuable and the Most Promising Players have been felicitated with an individual medal and a certificate. Players from schools such as DRS, Pallavi Model School, CMR International School, Oak Valley, HAL Secondary School, Sadhu Vaswani International School, Takshila School, Abhaya International School, St. Peter’s Residential School, the host, have participated in the tournament.
