SSP Khanna Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia Launches Unique Initiative for Armed Forces Personnel

“Sainik Samadhan Uparala” to Enable Soldiers and Paramilitary Personnel to Seek Police Assistance Through Video Conferencing

SSP Khanna Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia Launches Unique Initiative for Armed Forces Personnel

Complaints to be submitted via e-mail from Monday to Friday; virtual hearings to be conducted every Saturday

Khanna/Ludhiana, May 28, 2026: In a significant and humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting the nation’s Armed Forces and Paramilitary personnel, Khanna Police has launched a first-of-its-kind grievance redressal system titled “Sainik Samadhan Uparala.” Spearheaded by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khanna, Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia, the initiative has been designed to provide timely police assistance and grievance resolution to soldiers serving at the country’s borders and in remote operational areas, without requiring them to travel back to their home district.
Under the initiative, soldiers and paramilitary personnel can now submit complaints and seek assistance online, ensuring that their service responsibilities are not disrupted due to pending legal or police-related matters in their native places. Complaints can be sent through e-mail from Monday to Friday, while hearings through video conferencing will be conducted every Saturday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon.
Addressing the media, SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia said that army personnel deployed in border regions or sensitive locations often face difficulties in pursuing police matters related to their home districts because of operational commitments and limited leave availability. As a result, several complaints remain pending for long durations, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience to soldiers and their families.
Keeping these concerns in mind, Police District Khanna has introduced this technologically driven and citizen-centric mechanism to ensure that those safeguarding the nation receive prompt and respectful assistance from the police administration.
To facilitate the process, a dedicated official e-mail ID — [email protected] — has been created. Through this platform, soldiers and paramilitary personnel can directly submit complaints, applications, and supporting documents to the police administration. This will allow authorities to initiate preliminary verification and necessary legal action even in the absence of the complainant.
SSP Dr. Ahluwalia further informed that during the weekly video conference sessions, he will personally interact with the complainants, hear their grievances, and ensure that their concerns are addressed in a transparent and time-bound manner. The initiative is expected to instill confidence among serving personnel that their issues are being handled with seriousness, empathy, and administrative accountability.
To ensure effective implementation, written directions will be issued to the concerned Gazetted Officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) immediately after the hearings for speedy disposal of complaints. In addition, Khanna Police has also developed a dedicated “Sainik Samadhan Dashboard,” which will be monitored by the SP Headquarters functioning as the nodal officer for the project.
The dashboard will maintain detailed records of all complaints received, their present status, actions taken, and pending matters. SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia will personally review the dashboard every fifteen days to ensure there are no unnecessary delays in grievance redressal and that every complaint is dealt with efficiently.
The initiative has been widely appreciated as a progressive step that combines technology with administrative sensitivity. More importantly, it reflects the commitment of Khanna Police towards honouring the sacrifices and service of the country’s brave soldiers and paramilitary personnel.
With the launch of “Sainik Samadhan Uparala,” soldiers serving far away from home will now have easier access to justice, police support, and administrative assistance while continuing to fulfill their duties towards the nation.
