You think now is the time to change your name officially to Srivalli?
Oh, honestly – I think people already call me Srivalli! And I would talk to my team about this in the past
... That I feel like Srivalli has become my second persona, which I am so happy and proud of. Because the only thing an actor would want is recognised for the work they have done and to me, it’s the best compliment an actor could get. And today when people call me Srivalli, it makes me really happy!

The Jathara scene in Pushpa 2 has become iconic, especially your powerful monologue. What was everyone’s reaction to it?
The first time I saw that scene on the big screen was at the premiere, sitting right next to Allu Arjun sir. As the dialogue began, the entire theatre went silent—and then, by the end of it, people started whistling and clapping. I just sat there, stunned, thinking, “Is this really happening?” I had tears in my eyes. It’s not every day that an actress gets whistles for her performance, and that meant the world to me. I’ve always told myself that one day, all the hard work will be worth it—and in that moment, it truly, deeply was.

How was your experience collaborating with Allu Arjun on the Pushpa films?
Working with Allu Arjun sir has been an incredible learning experience. He brings such infectious energy and unwavering dedication to the set—it’s truly inspiring. Watching the level of detail and depth he brings to his character taught me so much. Being around that kind of passion really motivated me to push myself and give my best as a performer.
Pushpa 2 is renowned for its music. How was your experience filming the song sequences?
Filming the 'Peelings' song was a unique challenge for me because I have a phobia of being lifted, and several dance sequences involved exactly that. I honestly didn’t know how it would all pan out. But I placed all my faith in Sukumar sir and Allu Arjun sir, and somehow, that made everything feel so much easier. Their support and confidence helped me move past my fear and focus on giving my best for the song. And yaay, it received so much love!
Can you delve into your character Srivalli and her relationship with Pushpa?
Playing Srivalli has been a truly enriching experience because she represents a blend of quiet strength and emotional depth. In Pushpa 2, her character evolves significantly—she’s no longer just a supportive presence, but someone who takes a stand when it truly matters. There’s a pivotal scene where she stands up for Pushpa, and it’s not just about their relationship, but about her own conviction and courage. That moment really reflects how much she has grown, and as an actor, portraying that transformation was both relatable and rewarding.
