Spoken Sanskrit Camp to begin at PU’s Sanskrit department (Golden opportunity for all to learn India’s celebrated classical language)

Chandigarh February 20, 2023: As a joint venture of Lokbhasha Prachar Samiti Chandigarh and Panjab University’s Sanskrit department, a camp is being organised from 22nd February to 28th February where participants will learn spoken and written Sanskrit free of cost. The camp will be held daily from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Panini library of PU’s Sanskrit department. Prof. V. K. Alankar, academic incharge of the department said, “all those who want to learn Sanskrit, whether they be young or old, should avail this golden opportunity”. Welcoming all for this camp, Professor Alankar called upon all for promoting and learning Sanskrit, which is one of the most celebrated and rich classical languages of the world. Vijay Bharadwaj, Anshul Chaudhary and Naresh Kumar will be teaching Sanskrit to the participants. No prior knowledge of Sanskrit is required for participating in the camp.
