Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible recently surprised viewers with an exciting superhero twist as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man made a special appearance in the show. While the on-screen crossover brought smiles to audiences of all ages, it also sparked nostalgic conversations on set, with the cast reminiscing about the superheroes they admired growing up and the childhood memories associated with them.
From rushing home to catch their favourite superhero on television to tying a piece of cloth around their necks as capes, the actors shared how these iconic characters inspired their imagination during their growing-up years.
Muskan Bamne, who plays the role of Shanaya, shares, "I've always loved Spider-Man because he felt so relatable. He was young, funny, a little clumsy at times but whenever it mattered, he always stepped up to help others. I remember watching the films and being fascinated by his web-slinging and action sequences. Having Spider-Man on our set felt surreal and brought back so many childhood memories. It definitely made the little superhero fan in me very happy!"
Deeksha Joshi, who plays Deepti, added, "I've always been a huge Batman fan because he proved that you don't need superpowers to be a hero. It was his intelligence, discipline, and determination that made him so inspiring. Even today, I love stories where courage comes from within rather than from magical abilities. So having Spider-Man on our set was a fun reminder of all those superheroes we admired growing up."
Akshhaya Hindalkar, who essays Rashi, said, "For me growing up it was definitely Krrish. I remember being completely fascinated by how effortlessly he would leap across buildings and use his powers to help people. But what I admired most was his kindness and humility despite being so powerful. As kids, we all wanted to be like Krrish and imagined ourselves saving the day. Seeing Spider-Man on our set brought back all those wonderful childhood memories and reminded me why superhero stories have always been so magical."
