Spectrum-2014 organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, October 19, 2014: Spectrum-2014 was organised by Mendelev Society of PG Department of Chemistry. Eight different competitions had a huge number of participation from Lyallpur Khalsa College and other colleges of Khalsa group. In pot decoration competition Anjali stood first. In Second event ‘flower arrangement’, three positions were bagged by Lyallpur Khalsa College students as Harman Kaur, Harpreet Kaur and Nikhil-1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively. In Pooja Thaali decoration Harman Kaur stood third. Card making competition had 21 participants. Among them Ramandeep Kaur, Ramanjit Kaur and Satwinder Kaur bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. Among 19 participants of poster making competition on the topics ‘India in 2050’ and ‘Swacch Bharat Swasth Bharat’, Ramandeep Kaur of Lyallpur Khalsa College stood first. Photography competition was on the topics. ‘Child Labour and ‘Chemistry in Everyday Life’. Lalit Kumar stood first. In gift wrapping competition, Minky stood first, third position was bagged by Priyanka. Rangoli competition was among 34 teams. Second position was bagged by Anupreet Kaur, Gurpreet Singh and Sheetal Bhawani.

The event was highly appreciated by President Governing Council Balbir Kaur and joint Secretary Jaspal Singh Waraich. Principal, Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra encouraged students for their talent. Different faculty members of Lyallpur Khalsa College attended the event and acted as judges. Prof Surinder Kaur, HOD Chemistry congratulated students for their mass participation.
