Chandigarh, February 2, 2014: Punjab Governance Reforms department organised a three day Specialised eGovernance Training Programme (STeP) on ‘Government Process Re-engineering for e-Governance Projects’ (S2- GPR) at Hotel Shivalikview.
Kavita Singh, Special Secretary Cum Director Governance Reforms, Government of Punjab inaugurating the workshop said that this workshop was organised to equip the officers of the Punjab Government with skills and knowledge on Government Process Re-engineering for e-Governance Projects’ (S2- GPR) for State level e-Governance initiatives and e- Governance projects being implemented in the state under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).
She said that this training was organised in coordination with National Institute for Smart Government (NISG), Hyderabad to build State Capacity Building as per guidelines of Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. The training  was attended by senior officers/ Officials from various Departments and District Offices of State of Punjab.
She further said that During the 3 days program on Government Process Re-engineering for e-Governance Projects’ (S2- GPR), participants were provided knowledge on Understanding Government Process & Service Quality , Overview of Process Re-engineering , Definition of the Vision & Understanding Service Prioritization , Understanding of Process Maps , Exercise on Creation of Vision Statement And Service Prioritisation , Collecting Data for Process Mapping , Government Process Analysis , Identifying solutions for the challenges in Government Process Environment and Optimization of the Processes, Optimization the Processes.
The specialised Training Programme on Government Process Re-engineering (S2-GPR) was conducted by Sh. BG Gupta and Prof.J.C.Kapoor from NISG.
Distinguished officers also performed in various activities on Government Process Re-engineering.
Kavita Singh also distributed participation certificates to distinguished officers / officials of various Departments and district Offices of State of Punjab on the concluding day of the workshop.
Spokesperson said that Director/Joint Director/ Additional Director, Deputy Director, In charge of IT initiatives, Govt. representatives in State/Project e-Governance Mission Teams (SeMT/ PeMT) , Nodal officers for e-Governance initiatives leading / managing GPR engagements and are expected to lead / play crucial role in e-Governance implementation of state Government attended this three day programme.// punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news, world news,
