Special vaccination camp for government employees at Govt College for Girls Ludhiana on Jan 7

Ludhiana, January 6, 2022: In view of the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, the District Administration Ludhiana would be organising a special vaccination camp for all government departments. This camp would be held at Government College for Girls Ludhiana at 10 am onwards tomorrow (January 7, 2022).

Dr Nayan Jassal, ADC (Jagraon)-cum-Nodal Officer Vaccination, informed that keeping in view upcoming elections, a special vaccination camp for government staff of all departments is being organised tomorrow. She said that an official has to be fully vaccinated for election duty and that is why, this camp is being organised.

She further stated that the Head of Department (HoD) has to accompany their staff for this special vaccination camp as Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma would take department wise vaccination status review meeting at the venue.

She said that all head of departments have already been issued formal letters in this regard and if any HoD is found absent from the camp, disciplinary action under the Election Act would be taken against them. She further stated that if any official becomes Covid positive during election duty, then it would be the sole responsibility of the HoD and the concerned official.
