Centre for Social Work, Panjab University, Chandigarh today observed World Heart Day by organising a special talk on “Holistic Health and Spirituality”.
Chandigarh, September 29, 2025: Centre for Social Work, Panjab University, Chandigarh today observed World Heart Day by organising a special talk on “Holistic Health and Spirituality”.
The session was conducted by Ms.Preeti Swami, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, who shared valuable insights on the importance of nurturing both physical and spiritual well-being for a healthy heart and balanced life.
The programme began with a welcome address by Prof. Monica Munjial Singh, Chairperson, Centre for Social Work, along with faculty member Dr. Gaurav Gaur. They appreciated Ms. Swami’s dedicated efforts and her commitment to promoting holistic health awareness. While PU NCC Coordinator Dr.Kuldeep Singh, (Chairperson, Department of Police Administration), also graced the occasion with his presence.
The session was highly interactive and participatory, engaging MSW students and research scholars through a variety of hands-on activities. These included Life Balance Sheet and Holistic Health Relay.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion where students shared their learning and experiences. The session not only created awareness about heart health but also encouraged participants to adopt holistic practices in their daily lives.
