Ludhiana, September 25, 2027: A special district-level seminar on Poshan Maah was organised today at the Department of Social Security and Women & Child Development, Ludhiana, under the guidance of District Programme Officer S. Gurmeet Singh.
During the seminar, detailed discussions were held on the importance of a balanced diet, proper nutrition and healthcare for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. Emphasis was also laid on taking nutrition-related awareness activities to the grassroots level and ensuring effective implementation of various initiatives being undertaken by the department.
The seminar was attended by all the Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), namely Neetika Dhingra, Anju Singla, Manju Bhandari, Kulwinder Kaur and Harjit Kaur. All dealing clerks and supervisors of the department were also present during the meeting.
District Programme Officer Gurmeet Singh highlighted the importance of Poshan Maah in creating awareness among the public about healthy nutrition and improving the health and nutritional status of women and children. He encouraged all officers and officials to actively participate in nutrition-related awareness activities and ensure their effective implementation at the field level.
