Chandigarh: SC/ST Cell of Panjab University, Chandigarh organised special lectures on the “Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) Scheme” at the Central Instrumentation Laboratory (CIL), Seminar Hall, PU. The programme was started with a welcome note by Prof. Jagtar Singh, Co-ordinator-cum-Liaison Officer, SC/ST Cell.
This special lecture on the PMS Scheme of Punjab State was delivered by Sh. Navdeep Kaushal, who is presently serving as Tehsil Social Justice Officer at the Directorate of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, SAS Nagar, Punjab. He spoke about the Dr Ambedkar Scholarship Portal, which is designated for applying for the Post Matric Scholarship for SC students of Punjab.
He elaborated on various provisions of the PMS Scheme and the free ship card for SC students. He further addressed various queries, questions, and problems raised by students, participants, and staff after the lecture. He also interacted with the participants.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all the students, participants, and office staff of the SC/ST Cell.
