Former UT Home Secretary and former senior IAS Mr Krishna Mohan today delivered a special lecture on the topic of ‘Cracking IAS Prelims: A Strategic Blueprint for Success’ at the Panjab University Centre for IAS & Other Competitive Examinations.
Chandigarh, October 30, 2025: Former UT Home Secretary and former senior IAS Mr Krishna Mohan today delivered a special lecture on the topic of ‘Cracking IAS Prelims: A Strategic Blueprint for Success’ at the Panjab University Centre for IAS & Other Competitive Examinations.
Addressing the PU students and aspirants of IAS and various competitive examinations, Mr. Krishna Mohan gave a success mantra for clearing UPSC Prelims and delivered an inspiring and informative lecture on how to approach the IAS exam effectively. He began by explaining the right strategy to cover the vast UPSC syllabus and highlighted the reliable sources that aspirants should focus on for efficient preparation. He emphasised time management as the key to success. He shared a practical timetable and a daily execution plan to help students stay consistent. He also discussed ways to master the CSAT paper, the importance of practising Previous Year Questions (PYQs), and the need to evaluate performance through regular Mock tests.
Earlier, Prof. Jyoti Rattan, Honorary Director, welcomed and introduced the Guest Speaker to the attendees. She conveyed her heartfelt thanks to him for his gracious presence.
The session also covered test-day strategy and common pitfalls that aspirants should avoid during preparation. Towards the end, Mr. Krishna Mohan motivated students to maintain both mental and physical balance, stressing that discipline, focus, and a calm mind are as essential as knowledge itself.
Overall, the lecture was highly insightful and motivational, providing students with a clear roadmap to prepare smartly. The lecture was ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof Madhuri, coordinator, PU, IAS Centre.
