Special lecture on “Malaria and Dengue” at Panjab University

Chandigarh, November 12, 2021: National Service Scheme in collaboration with the Centre for Medical Physics  organized special lecture on “Malaria and Dengue” by Dr. Rupinder Kaur, CMO, Panjab University. 
She explained origin and about Malaria and Dengue in a simple way. She also appraised that in some patients, it can cause serious complications like hemorrhagic fever, which can damage the lymph and blood vessels and can cause high fever and circulatory system failure. It is important to stay under medical supervision during the course of the disease. 
Mr. Jaswant Singh and team from Vector Department Chandigarh  showed the glimpse of the larvae of the mosquitoes and Gambusia fish to the volunteers. 
Dr. Vivek Kumar, Chairperson, CMP  gave vote of thanks and inspired students for  tomorrow’s rally for awareness about vector borne diseases in the Panjab University Campus. NSS Programm Officer Dr. Simran Preet (Biophysics) was also present during the event.
