Chandigarh, April 15, 2026: The SC/ST Cell, Panjab University, Chandigarh, under the convenership of Dr. Rajni Jassal, organised a special lecture on “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Pivotal Contribution to Feminism & Women’s Rights in India” to mark the 135th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at CDOE. The event was held under the guidance of Prof. Harsh Gandhar, the Director of CDOE. Prof. Rajesh Gill (Retd.) highlighted Ambedkar’s lifelong concern for women and his role in the Hindu Code Bill. Prof. Madhurima Verma attended as the Guest of Honor. Faculty and students from various departments participated.
