Special drive to mobilize potential KCC beneficiaries and sanctioning of KCC by banks from 24 April-1 May, 2022: ADC Amit Kumar Panchal

Under the government of India campaign, “Kisan Bhaghidari Prathmikata Hamari” to facilitate all farmers in getting benefits of the ongoing schemes especially the Kisan Credit Card Scheme, a Special District Consultative Committee meeting was held under the Chairmanship of ADC(D) Amit Kumar Panchal today.

Ludhiana, April 21, 2022: Under the government of India campaign, “Kisan Bhaghidari Prathmikata Hamari” to facilitate all farmers in getting benefits of the ongoing schemes especially the Kisan Credit Card Scheme, a Special District Consultative Committee meeting was held under the Chairmanship of ADC(D) Amit Kumar Panchal today. 

Speaking on the occasion, ADC(D) informed that under this campaign, a special drive will be conducted from 24 April 2022 to 01 May 2022 by the banks in coordination with the District  Administration,  line departments,  NABARD,  and local self-government functionaries to mobilize potential KCC beneficiaries and sanctioning of KCC by banks through its network of BCs,  Bank  Sakhis, agents, etc. 

He further added that a special Gram Sabha will be conducted on 24 April 2022 to ensure the maximum coverage of left out farmers under KCC. The Farmers who do not have  KCC will be mobilized to fill the form by  Sarpanch/Pradhan.

In the meeting, Lead Bank Manager Sanjay Gupta highlighted the need of providing KCC to eligible farmers in the district. He further reiterated the importance of participation of the Govt officials at the district level and Panchayati Raj institutions at the local level for the success of this campaign. He also advised all participating banks to implement the scheme in its true sprit.

Cluster head NABARD Davinder Kumar added that NABARD is coordinating with all stakeholders to make this campaign a grand success. NABARD is also organizing Special financial literacy camps in the district to create awareness regarding this campaign.

The meeting was also attended by Sanjeev Kumar, DDPO – Ludhiana, Narinder Singh Benipal, Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjeev Kumar, DDM NABARD, BDPOs of all blocks of district, Nodal officers of Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries department and District Coordinators of all Banks of the district.
