Ludhiana, June 5, 2026: The district administration will organise special camps at all 2927 polling booths across district on Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm to facilitate the mapping of voters with the Electoral Roll of 2003.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Himanshu Jain appealed to the voters of the district to make maximum use of these special camps and ensure that their voter details are properly mapped. He added the exercise is being carried out to streamline electoral records and facilitate voters in updating and verifying their information.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that special directions have been issued to all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to remain present at their respective polling stations throughout the day and provide all necessary assistance to citizens visiting the camps. The BLOs will help voters in completing the mapping process and addressing any queries related to electoral records.
Himanshu Jain emphasized that active participation of voters is crucial for maintaining accurate and updated electoral rolls. He urged all eligible voters to visit their respective polling booths and complete the mapping process without fail.
The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the camps. Voters have also been advised to carry relevant identification documents to facilitate the verification process.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment to ensuring transparent and error-free electoral records, Jain called upon residents to cooperate with election officials and contribute towards strengthening the democratic process.
