Speaker calls for unity at Sarv Dharma Sangam
Lauds religious leaders in strengthening communal and cultural harmony- Sandhwan

Ludhiana, Sep 7, 2025: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Sunday emphasized the power of unity and cultural harmony at the Virat Sarv Dharma Sangam held at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan.
The event was organized to mark the 142nd birth anniversary of Atma Ram Ji Maharaj and the 98th birth anniversary of Manohar Muni Ji Maharaj on the motivation of Piyush Muni Ji Maharaj to promote interfaith brotherhood.
Addressing the gathering, Sandhwan lauded the pivotal role of spiritual leaders in fostering communal harmony and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage. He added that our culture unites, it does not divide. He urged people to embrace a simple lifestyle. He also took a sharp stance against the spread of religious extremism on social media, calling it a tool of political propaganda. He called on religious leaders to counter these narratives.
Sandhwan praised Punjab’s history for staying united and said events like the Sarv Dharma Sangam help keep people together.
Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, and Additional Secretary (Personnel) Gautam Jain and others were also present on the occasion.
