Sony SAB, renowned for its heartwarming storytelling, is set to debut Itti Si Khushi, a poignant drama that defies the typical glossy portrayals of perfect families. The show's recently released promo has generated considerable buzz, honouring the quiet strength of a daughter who serves as the anchor for her vibrant, chaotic household and her five siblings.
In the promo, Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan), the heart of the Divekar family is seen caught between a messy household and countless unspoken responsibilities. She is thrust into the role of caregiver, shouldering the burden of her five siblings with her youthfulness sacrificed in the face of their father’s negligence and alcoholism. From signing school report cards, to standing firm when her alcoholic father (Varun Badola) sells their only home, as seen in the promo, she doesn’t just play guardian to her younger siblings; she becomes the calm of their fragile world.
Speaking about the promo, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, who plays Anvita, shares, “I am really excited to share the first look of the show with my fans and am looking forward to playing Anvita – a daughter who becomes the glue that binds her family, the one who carries the burdens silently yet fiercely. I hope people will find inspiration in how Anvita finds power in pain, and grace in the midst of grief.”
She continued, “Filming the promo was truly special—we brought to life a quintessential Mumbai neighborhood and sharing that first experience with Rajat Verma and Varun Sir made it all the more memorable and heartwarming."
