Sony SAB TV: Veteran Actor Aanjjan Srivastav's views on World Television Day

Aanjjan Srivastav, essaying the role of Srinivas Wagle from Sony SAB's Wagle Ki Duniya, says on World Television Day:

“I believe television as a medium is important, and as an actor, I feel it is my responsibility to deliver the right things to the audience and keep them entertained through this massive medium. I believe television is a vital medium for all of us and powerful for conveying a message. 

I had started working for television since the sponsor program "Ye Jo Hai Zindagi" started in our country. The content on television during earlier days was subject-oriented, and it was a challenge in itself. 

Today, I can proudly say that the makers of Wagle Ki Duniya have successfully struck the right chord with audiences and made the show a big success! When I was approached for my television show on Sony SAB - Wagle Ki Duniya, I had a chat with the writer and producer - Aatish Kapadia and JD Majethia, about the quality that the earlier version had, and they assured me that the same quality of content will be carried forward in this newer version that showcases the next generation of Wagles. 

The writers have tried to continue the legacy of RK Laxman’s work, and we are putting our best foot forward to deliver our best to the show.  We really feel delighted that the audience has showered us with so much love, and RK Laxman’s legacy is continuing on television to date.”
