Friendship is one of life's greatest blessings, offering unwavering support, encouragement, and companionship through every milestone. From celebrating achievements to standing by each other during difficult times, true friends often become the biggest source of strength and motivation. Marking Friendship Day, Sony SAB artists Iqbal Khan, Manish Wadhwa, Muskan Bamne, Gulki Joshi and Chandan Anand share heartfelt stories about the friends who have believed in them from the very beginning and have remained by their side through every chapter of their journey.
Whether it's childhood companions, college friends, or the people who encouraged them to chase their dreams, the artists reflect on the friendships that continue to shape their lives and remind them of the importance of having a strong support system.
Iqbal Khan, who essays the role of Dr. Dev Mehta in Yaadein, shared, “I'm still in touch with all my school and college friends and what amazes me the most is that they believed I would become an actor even before I believed it myself. They saw something in me that I couldn't see at the time and that faith gave me the confidence to keep chasing my dream, even during moments of self-doubt. No matter where life has taken us, they've celebrated every milestone in my journey as if it were their own. Having friends who stand by you through every phase and genuinely rejoice in your success is a blessing, and I'll always be grateful for their love and support."
Manish Wadhwa, who essays the role of  Bhishm Pitama in Hastinapur Ke Veer, shared, “Growing up, my mother was not just my parent but also my best friend. We shared a deep love for music and could spend hours singing together. Today, that same bond continues with my childhood friend, Ajay, who has been by my side through every phase of life. He's someone who keeps me grounded, isn't afraid to tell me the truth, and has always supported me unconditionally. For me, both my mother and Ajay have shown that the strongest friendships are built on trust, honesty, and the simple joy of creating memories together.”
Muskan Bamne, who essays the role of  Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “The entertainment industry can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to find your place. During those phases, one of my closest friends, my Chachu, became my biggest cheerleader. He would patiently listen to my worries, motivate me before every audition, and remind me that every rejection was preparing me for the right opportunity. His belief in me never changed, even when mine did. Today, every achievement feels even more special because I know he was part of this journey from the very beginning.”
Chandan Anand, who essays the role of Shakuni in Hastinapur Ke Veer, shared, "For me, my parents have always been my greatest friends and biggest supporters. They have always wished for my success and believed in my dreams far more than I did at times. Along with guiding me through every phase of life, they've always stood by me with unconditional love, and I truly believe there's no friendship more selfless than that."
Gulki Joshi, who essays the role of Dr. Srishty Agarwal in Yaadein, shared, "I've been fortunate to have friends and family who have always supported me, so it's difficult to name just one person. They've celebrated every milestone with me, encouraged me during the challenging phases, and constantly reminded me to believe in myself. Knowing they're always in my corner is something I truly cherish."
