Chandigarh, December 11, 2025: A Soft Skill/Accounts workshop for the staff of various hostels of Panjab University, Chandigarh, was conducted today in Girls Hostel No.-3 by the DSW office.
Prof. Neena Capalash former DSW (W) was key Speaker for the event. She motivated the staff members for being patient in their day to day life & also emphasised the importance of good communication between the staff & hostel residents. Prof. Amit Chauhan DSW, Prof. Namita Gupta DSW (W), Prof. Naresh Kumar, Associate DSW were also present during the event.
Prof. Amit Chauhan addressed the audience & made them aware of the importance of handling financial record properly & on time. Prof. Namita Gupta DSW (W) emphasized the three P’s Patience, Politeness & Professionalism.
Dr. Simran Preet, Warden GH3 put up various points as communicated by the Accounts Branch for the smooth functioning of the hostel finances & proper maintenance of hostel records. In the end, Prof. Naresh Kumar, Associate DSW thanked the audience and the speakers for their valuable inputs.
Overall, the event was very well perceived by the hostel staff members, and it is expected to help them improve their conduct & the overall maintenance of the hostels.
