Social science activity based on various social issues held

Jalandhar:  DIPS Suranussi organised for the students various activity based on the states and their customs, rituals, traditions, food, lifestyle various issues related to flora and fauna for it students sitting at home. Teachers organised Quiz, model making, state dress competition. In the first round of the quiz students were asked questions based on the environment.

In the second visual round students were asked question on the space, living things shown by means of video and photo. Students made a beautiful models of different layers of the earth, rain harvesting etc. and also explained by them. Some students participated in state fancy dress competition and depicted the dress, food, culture, customs, tradition and environment of various states like Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Sikkim etc. students wore costume of aforesaid states to give the knowledge of a particular state.

Principal Bela Kapoor praised all the teachers, parents and students for this activity and remarked that through social science activities students remain connected to social, political, economic and historical events.

MD Tarwinder Singh and CEO Monica Mandotra abhorred that social science activities are a medium by which we get to analyse a person’s social economic, political and also historical events which all lead to a developed society.
