Rohtak, May 20, 2026: President of the Tika Ram Education Society, Sonipat, Surender Singh Dahiya, paid a courtesy visit to MDU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia today and engaged in a constructive dialogue regarding matters related to education and social welfare.
Emphasizing the significant role played by social organizations in the education sector, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia said that enhanced coordination between the university and society could open up greater opportunities for students.
He noted that, in alignment with the New Education Policy, it is imperative to foster skill development, entrepreneurship, and social sensitivity among students, thereby enabling them to face global challenges with confidence. He also underscored the importance of instilling in students a sense of moral values, social responsibility, and a spirit of innovation.
Surender Singh Dahiya apprised the Vice-Chancellor of the activities of the Tika Ram Education Society and the work it is currently undertaking in the field of education. He highlighted that the Society is continuously striving to provide students with a superior academic environment and to reinforce social values. He also shared his thoughts on future initiatives aimed at expanding educational horizons and promoting student welfare, and presented the Vice-Chancellor with a book based on the life of the social reformer, Ch. Tika Ram.
During the interaction, Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal remarked that through the collective efforts of educational institutions and social organizations, better opportunities can be provided to the youth, and effective initiatives can be undertaken to bring about positive change within society.
