Mumbai, October 23, 2025: On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, social worker and film producer Smita Thackeray visited slum children and distributed school bags. Through her Mukti Foundation, which has been working for 28 years in education, health, and hunger eradication, she emphasized the importance of learning and encouraged children to explore arts like dance and drama. Inspired by Balasaheb Thackeray, her initiative “Aao Bhukh Mitayein” continues to feed the needy. Smita, who has produced several Hindi and Marathi films, is currently working on “Haseena Maan Jaayegi 2” and remains devoted to bringing positive change through social service.
