Dharamsala, October 2, 2021: Some private organisations of Dharamsala and around have come up not only to keep their surroundings pollution free but also started educating their neighbourhood about Swachch Bharat Abhiyan. One such institution is S. M. Eye Hospital and institution Ghurkari near here.
“S M Eye Hospital and institution celebrated the 152nd birthday of our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi, who gave us free independent India. But, his dream of Swachh Bharat is still not achieved. We all citizens of this great country have to take a pledge to fulfil his dream, which will be an asset for coming generations”, said Dr. Sandeep Mahajan, founder of the hospital.
He informed that on 2nd October his team of doctors, workers, helpers and supporters  organised Swachchh Abhiyaan  In association with the Department of pollution control  Dharamsala by cleaning  the surroundings of S. M. Eye Hospital and adjoining areas.
“The team members spread awareness to neighbours- ‘not to use plastic and polythene bags and pickings and to dispose-off them scientifically or hand them over to panchayat/ municipal authorities.’ 
Dr Sandeep added, “We have to prevent sewage going down into our rivers. We have to start cleanliness from our homes and working places.”
Dr Mahajan said that SM Eye Hospital and institution is the only one in Himachal Pradesh, providing all modern available facilities/services in all kinds of eye care and surgery.
The team of this institute also took pledge to keep our surroundings clean and help others in keeping the same spirit.
