Skit Spreads Message: “Say No to Drugs”
The Department of Statistics organised a skit on “Say No to Drugs” highlighting the ill effects of drug use. Through this skit, the students effectively conveyed a powerful anti-drug message by highlighting various day-to-day themes such as peer pressure, academic decline, deteriorating health, and the importance of seeking help and support from family and friends.
 
                        Chandigarh, October 31, 2025: The Department of Statistics organised a skit on “Say No to Drugs” highlighting the ill effects of drug use. Through this skit, the students effectively conveyed a powerful anti-drug message by highlighting various day-to-day themes such as peer pressure, academic decline, deteriorating health, and the importance of seeking help and support from family and friends.
The skit, performed by students, was well received and highly impactful. The audience, comprising students and faculty members, appreciated the performance for its relatable storyline, emotional depth, and strong anti-drug message.
Prof Narinder Kumar, Chairperson of the department, in his address, stated that drug use has severe negative effects on students, impacting their physical and mental health, academic performance, and social relationships. These consequences can be both short-term and long-term.
Students and faculty members greatly enjoyed the skit, finding it both educational and emotionally engaging. The realistic performance delivered by the students effectively communicated a clear message: “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.”
