SJOBA rally 2020 flagged off

Chandigarh: The 2 day SJOBA Rally which is quite famous among Chandigarh citizens and car racing enthusiasts all over India, was flagged off from St. Johns School, Sector 26 on Saturday, 29TH Feb 2020. A total of around 100 participants are competing in 2020 rally which has 3 categories of vehicles: Cars, Jeeps and Motorbikes.
Before the flag off, a super special stage was held yesterday at JLPL ground Mohali to decide the standing position during the flag off. Cars, Jeeps and Motorbikes were seen whrooming around the specially created path consisting of sharp bends, U turns etc.
The 2020 SJOBA Rally will go through new routes. Most of the route is tough terrain. The schedule is as follow:
Day 1 28 Feb 2020: Super Special Stage  at JLPL ground Mohali
Day 2 (29 Feb 2020): Rally  flagged off  from St. John’s School, Sector 26, Chandigarh to Garhshankar
Day 3 (1 March 2020): Rally returns from Gharshankar  to Chandigarh.
Day 3 (1March ): Prize Distribution and Dinner at Chandigarh Club

The route of the rally is as follow:
On Feb 29, the rally will go through Laluwala Peer - Bardar- Rail-Bhaipur-Thathiala-Kanuan-Kanuan 2-Jhungian-Shahpur-Mehndwani-Gaj Retreat-Mansowal-Gaj Retreat ( Gharshankar) ( Night Stay )
On March 1, the rally will start from Gaj Retreat - Mansowal-Pabowal-Jaijon-Gondpur-Pandori-Barpur-Dalewal-Bhawanipur-Achalpur-Gaj Retreat- St John's Chd  and is expected to reach Chandigarh by 5:00 PM. Results to be displayed at St John's followed by Prize Distribution at Chandigarh Club 8 pm onwards
