Six-yr-old burnt alive as hut catches fire in UP

Kanpur, May 8 (IANS) In a tragic incident, a six-year-old boy was burnt alive after his makeshift hut caught fire in the Kalyanpur area of the city.
While two of the siblings managed to escape, the boy identified as Ram Teerath was burnt alive in the incident.
ACP Kalyanpur Vishal Kumar said, “At the time of the incident, the boy’s father and mother had gone out to work. Only he and his minor sister and minor brother were present inside the makeshift hut which caught fire.”
Locals informed police which then informed fire tenders, but by the time fire tenders reached the spot, the boy was charred to death.
Police later sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
