Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Saturday confirmed that the situation in Sasrali Colony is completely under control. Intensive efforts to reinforce the Dhussi Bandh are underway, with round-the-clock operations involving the district administration, Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and hundreds of local volunteers.

Ludhiana, September 6, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Saturday confirmed that the situation in Sasrali Colony is completely under control. Intensive efforts to reinforce the Dhussi Bandh are underway, with round-the-clock operations involving the district administration, Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and hundreds of local volunteers.
In a video message, Jain also encouraged the people to contribute by providing labour, soil, or plastic gunny bags directly at the site if they want to assist the administration. He emphasized the importance of collective effort to bolster the embankment swiftly.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged residents to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and rely solely on updates from the official District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Ludhiana channels for accurate information.
