Sitaram Sinku, Additional Member (Production Units), Railway Board, today visited the Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala.

Kapurthala, August 13, 2025: Sitaram Sinku, Additional Member (Production Units), Railway Board, today visited the Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala.
Upon arrival, Sinku inspected the coach manufacturing processes in various workshops. He closely examined the production of different types of coaches, particularly the Vande Bharat trains being manufactured at RCF, and reviewed the coach shells in the Shell Assembly Shop. He also assessed the manufacturing of shell components using CNC machines, presses, and other advanced equipment. Praising RCF’s robust infrastructure and efficiency, he shared valuable suggestions to further streamline the production process.
A detailed presentation was made before him on RCF’s production performance, highlighting the output and development of new coach types in the current financial year. Later, Sinku held a comprehensive meeting with S.S. Mishra, General Manager, and senior officials to discuss key operational matters. He assured RCF of full support from the Railway Board and advised the adoption of best practices to enhance coach quality, ensuring greater passenger satisfaction. He also commended RCF for achieving a record production of 2,102 coaches in the financial year 2024–25.
During his visit, Sinku also met with representatives of recognized unions and associations of RCF. Emphasizing the need for harmonious relations between unions and the administration, he urged them to work collaboratively to further boost coach production.
