Sikka Karmic Green Residents celebrated chhath puja with great devotion

Noida: The four-day Chhath Puja celebrations, which involve worshipping the Sun God, was celebrated at Sikka Karmic Greens in Sector 78, Noida. Due to strict orders from government and limitations to have public gatherings, the fasting women carried out their rituals in society’s swimming pool as a makeshift pond. Devotees first worshiped the sun at dusk and then offered water (argh) to the rising sun.

Sikka Karmic Greens was decorated with lights and the area of swimming pool (makeshift ‘ghat’) became the major highlight. The society residents were cautious throughout the Puja ceremony and followed social distancing guidelines, the whole society was also sanitized. The women living in the society said that Chhath festival is celebrated with complete faith and devotion. This festival goes on for four days, and special attention is given to cleanliness and hygiene. The arrangements done by society management on Chhath festival were appreciable.
