SIDBI sponsored Beti and Shiksha Foundation launches driving skill initiative for economically weaker women

Chandigarh: SIDBI sponsors empowerment of women through driving skill as professional cab drivers in association with Beti and Shiksha foundation Delhi. The flagging off event was held with a lot of enthusiasm in a grand ceremony at Hotel Aroma, sector 22, Chandigarh.

Chief guest Shri K K Yadav IAS municipal commissioner flagged off the event. Shri Rahul Priyadarshi General Manager SIDBI while encouraging and motivating ladies to take driving as a profession said that “we have a mission to train women pan India and empower them with a new skill. This is required with the changing times. Thereby, making them self-reliant and harnessing more job opportunities.

Present at the occasion were Suman Singh AGM SIDBI, Sartaj Lamba member B and S Foundation and various other dignitaries. The classes shall commence under the supervision of Retd Hav Harbhajan Singh.
