SIAM’s Automotive HR & Skilling Conclave 2025 explores the Future of Talent and Skills in the Evolving Mobility Ecosystem

Chennai, November 4, 2025: The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) organised the Automotive HR & Skilling Conclave 2025 on 31st Oct, 2025 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, under the theme ‘Accelerating Ahead: HR and Skilling for the Future of Mobility’.

The conclave witnessed active participation from government officials, CHROs of leading automotive companies, HR professionals, consultants, HR tech solution providers, academia, and other key stakeholders from the automotive HR ecosystem to deliberate on the evolving landscape of human resources and skill development in the mobility sector.
 
The conclave included a series of insightful sessions, such as “Driving Industry Readiness: Aligning Talent, Skills & Business Goals,” “Harmony as a Business Driver: Evolving IR Practices,” and “Healthy, Inclusive & High-Performing: The New Workforce Mindset.” Each session brought together views on shaping a future-ready workforce, strengthening industry-academia collaboration, promoting progressive industrial relations, and building a healthy, inclusive, and performance-driven work culture to support the rapidly evolving mobility ecosystem.
 
On this occasion Chief Guest, Thiru C.V. Ganesan, Minister for Labour Welfare & Skill Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, observed, “HR leaders of auto companies have greater responsibilities, as they need to take care of thousands of skilled professionals working for their organizations.”
 
Thiru K. Veera Raghava Rao, Secretary, Labour Welfare & Skill Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, said, “There is a need to ensure that we have appropriately skilled people to support the ever-evolving technological landscape and to ensure that the investments made by companies are sustained.”
 
Dr. Natwar Kadel, Chairman, SIAM Human Capital Group & Vertical Head- People Strategy, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Auto is one of the largest contributors to GDP and also to employment in the country.  HR leaders of Auto Industry have a responsibility to ensure we continue to unlearn, relearn and innovate ourselves in a sustained manner.”
