Shrenu Parikh shares her thoughts on Lord Ganesha’s sacred wedding in Sony SAB’s Ganesh Kartikey
Says, “It is a wedding blessed by faith, love, and divine grace.”
Sony SAB’s mythological show Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki -Ganesh Kartikey enters a pivotal new phase with the wedding of Lord Ganesha taking centre stage, marking a shift in the show’s narrative. The upcoming episodes move into a space of transition, where celebration, duty, and change intersect, while reaffirming Lord Ganesha’s place as Pratham Pujya - the first to be revered, not just in ritual, but through the values of responsibility, humility, and leadership as he steps into a new chapter of life.
The wedding of Lord Ganesha (Nirnay Samadhiya) to Riddhi (Narayani Varne) and Siddhi (Shreya Patel) anchors this new chapter. Shrenu Parikh, who plays Goddess Parvati, reflects on filming the wedding track and how certain unscripted moments shaped her performance.
Speaking about the experience, Shrenu shares, “Lord Ganesha’s holy union with Riddhi and Siddhi is a wedding blessed by faith, love and divine grace. Ganesha stepping into a new phase brings with it a quiet mix of pride, joy, and letting go for Parvati.”
She adds, “There was a day during the shoot when Nirnay was surrounded by people, costumes, and everything was happening at once. I remember instinctively stepping back and just watching him from a distance. That moment stayed with me because it felt like a milestone in Lord Ganesha’s journey. Even for Goddess Parvati, this isn’t a phase where she guides or instructs anymore; she’s witnessing that shift from being actively involved to being present, and choosing to bless her son quietly and completely. It felt very real to me.”
