Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation provides financial assistance to needy girl students

A tricity based Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO), Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, has provided financial assistance for  underprivileged girl students studying at  Government Post Graduate College for Women, Sector 14, Panchkula.  The needy girl students have received the financial aid  under  which the fee of many students  has been refunded to the college by the charitable foundation.

Panchkula, January 12, 2024:  A tricity based Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO), Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, has provided financial assistance for  underprivileged girl students studying at  Government Post Graduate College for Women, Sector 14, Panchkula.  The needy girl students have received the financial aid  under  which the fee of many students  has been refunded to the college by the charitable foundation.


Speaking about the initiative , Amitabh Rungta, Founder of Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation said, “We firmly believe that education is the most powerful means which can change society. Therefore, in this endeavor, our NGO has  provided financial help to girl students whose families  cannot afford to pay their  college fee.”


Richa Setia, Principal, Government Post Graduate College for Women, Sector-14, Panchkula said, "In addition to refunding the students' fees, Rungta ji has assured to provide funds for skill enhancement training for the girls to make them self-reliant.  In the next semester , we are planning to arrange  a bakery workshop for making the girls' skilled in this art. A 'cooking class' will also be held. Moreover a 'kitchen gardening competition' and a 'posture training workshop' will  be organised with the financial help extended to the college by Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation. Advanced computer classes are also being held with Rungta ji's support."


It is pertinent to state that   the college had organised an entrepreneurship mela named 'Tana Bana' recently which was planned and managed by the girl students . In this also when Amitabh Rungta came to know that the college was running short of funds for the food court tent , he had funded an amount to meet  the food court  tent expenses. It’s also imperative to mention that the NGO organizes a ‘Bhandara’, or community kitchen, to feed thousands of needy and poor people at Industrial Area Phase 1, Panchkula every week.
