Short Films, Posters Drive NSS Push For Greener Society

Rohtak, September 26, 2026: NSS volunteers of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) used short films and posters to promote a clean, green and responsible society under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan–Seva Mera Yogdan initiative.
Themed “Youth for a Clean, Green and Responsible Society,” the event featured competitions in short film-making, tree plantation poster-making and plastic-free awareness posters. NSS volunteers from MDU and affiliated colleges participated enthusiastically.
MDU Registrar Prof Sandeep Bansal, the chief guest, lauded the volunteers and said NSS plays an important role in promoting social responsibility, community service and nation-building.
Participants were sensitised on balanced diet, personal health, hygiene and menstrual health, urging them to spread health awareness in society.
Prof Sandeep Malik, Director, CRSISEC was the special guest. NSS Programme Coordinator Prof Savita Rathi coordinated the event, supported by Deputy NSS Programme Coordinator Dr Anju Panwar.
In the short film competition, Sujeet of MDU-UTD won first place, followed by Mohini of S.L. Hindu College, Rohtak, and Sanjana of Government Women’s College, Lakhan Majra.
In tree plantation poster-making, Tanvi Gupta of Government Women’s College, Rohtak, stood first, Jyoti Kumari of SIASTE, Jhajjar, second, and Divya of CRA College, Sonepat, third.
In the plastic-free awareness poster competition, Sakshi of CRA College, Sonepat, secured first place, Jaya of MDU-UTD second, while Radha of Government Women’s College, Sampla, and Sumit of MDU-UTD shared third place.
