Shopping malls to open in Kangra district from tomorrow
District Administration not allowing opening of religious places at moment
Dharamshala: The malls in Kangra district shall open from tomorrow said Rakesh Prajapati DC Kangra in Dharamshala on Monday. He said, “The shopping malls can open while ensuing strict compliance with preventive measures. Restaurants, eating joints, cafes, sweet shops etc in the malls will only provide take away/ home delivery services. No sitting arrangements for customers in malls allowed. Cinema halls, gaming arcades and children playing area shall remain closed.”
DC said that the district administration is not allowing the opening of religious places at the moment, as it is of the view that a necessary training is required for the caretakers and the security staff of these places. “But, we shall open these areas too soon,” he added.
Prajapati added that in Kangra district we had 109 corona positive cases so far, out of which 59 recovered, 49 are still under treatment while district registered one corona death so far. He said that the recovery rate of Kangra is better than the national recovery rate, and things now are moving towards normalisation, and soon we will extend the opening from 14 hours as yet to 24 hours as was before Corona pandemic. No positive case was reported on Monday in the district till evening.
He said that there is no pass required for the people coming through air or rail service as we get their data at the arrival points, whereas the pass is required for people coming via road and it is easily available online.
