Shivratri festival celebrated with devotion in Innocent Hearts

Jalandhar, March 7, 2024: Mahashivratri festival was celebrated with great devotion and pomp in all the schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Nurpur, Cantt. Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road).

The purpose of this festival was to show faith in God among the students and to develop spiritual qualities in them.  Little children came dressed up in the costumes of Shiv Parivar Shri Ganesha, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati and showed their reverence, faith and belief in God.

On this occasion, a special prayer meeting was organized in the school in which the children were told the importance of Shivratri festival.  The mantra 'Om Namah Shivay' was chanted by the children.

Sharmila Nakra (Deputy Director Cultural Affairs) said that Mahashivratri is not only a festival but also a symbol of unwavering faith in religion among every countryman.  This inculcates a sense of theism in children and develops faith, devotion and spirituality towards God.
