Shape Ganesh in Clay, Celebrate Green: Free Workshop in Rohtak on Sept 12-13

Rohtak, September 6, 2026: This Ganesh Chaturthi, Rohtak residents can learn to create an eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha using natural clay at a free two-day workshop in the city.
The BP Jain Skill Development Centre on Delhi Road will organise the workshop on September 12 and 13 under the theme “Viraaje Mitti Ke Hi Ganesh”, promoting the use of clay idols as an environment-friendly alternative to plaster of Paris.
According to centre in-charge Ayushi Jain, participants aged eight years and above can join the workshop. Training will be conducted in two slots — 11 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm — on both days. Participants can choose any one slot as per their convenience.
Registration closes on September 10, 2026. Participants must bring a bowl of water, newspaper, an old cloth and a pen. They are also required to carry a box to safely take their finished idol home.
The workshop aims to blend creativity with environmental responsibility and encourage people to celebrate the festival with “Mitti ke Ganesh” — a greener choice for a cleaner city.
