Shamrock Senior Secondary School Spreads Message of Service and Compassion on Diwali
Stall Set Up on Campus to Aid War-Injured Army Veterans

Mohali, October 19, 2025: On the occasion of the sacred festival of Diwali, Shamrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali, undertook a special initiative to promote the spirit of humanity and service. A stall was set up in the school campus by the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, Mohali, where lamps (diyas), candles, and several beautiful handmade items crafted by the Centre's members were offered for sale. This Centre is home to former soldiers of the Indian Army who were injured while serving the nation and are now dedicated to social service. Seeing the items prepared with their hard work brought expressions of joy and pride to the faces of all attendees. School students, parents, and staff participated enthusiastically in this service activity, contributing by purchasing items from their stall. This encouragement not only fosters the spirit of service but also highlights the importance of social responsibility.
On this occasion, Principal Parineet Sohal said that Diwali is not just a festival of lights, but a symbol of sharing, love, and service. We must bring light into the lives of those who sacrifice their well-being for us. School Managing Director Karan Bajwa stated that It is a matter of pride for us to be associated with the brave veterans of the Paraplegic Centre. This initiative will strengthen the values of compassion, service, and patriotism among our students." The school family thanked all the parents and students who participated in this endeavor, thereby spreading the true light of Diwali—the light of sharing and service.
